Nothing appoints Manu Sharma as the head of its Indian branch

When we heard that Carl Pei, the co-founder of OnePlus, has left the board, we were pretty disheartened about his leaving. But then we all know that he went and established his own new tech company called Nothing.

The company has now announced that Teenage Engineering is its founding partner and appointed Manu Sharma as the vice president and general manager of Nothing India.

For those who don’t know, Manu Sharma is an ex-vice president of Samsung, and now he will be taking care of Nothing’s growth, business development, and operations in India. He has spent over two decades working with Samsung Mobile and Hewlett Packard in India and overseeing the regional product strategy, marketing, and sales operations for the brand.

“I am thrilled to welcome Manu as part of the growing Nothing team. He is an experienced business leader with deep knowledge and understanding of the consumer technology industry in India. With his proven track record and experience, he will play a pivotal role in our growth in India.”                                — Carl Pei

“I am very excited to be part of Nothing’s journey. Carl’s vision is inspiring and I am confident that Nothing will have a meaningful impact on the consumer technology market in India and around the world.”                                                 — Manu Sharma.

With the announcement on Teenage Engineering as the founding partner for the company, we have also heard that Jesper Kouthoofd, the head of Teenage Engineering, will now also be the Creative Lead behind Nothing’s product design. Kouthoofd will be working along with Tom Howard, who is appointed as the Head of Design of Nothing.
