HMD Global has launched a brand new feature phone in China, this device is launched as the Nokia 105 4G, and news of its global launch came two weeks ago, the main highlight of this handset is support for LTE connectivity and Alipay (only China). This phone will be the successor to the Nokia 105 that released first in 2013, Nokia released updated versions of the device at regular intervals in 2017 and 2019.
The Nokia 105 4G features an all-new look, it will come with model features and flat sides, the top and bottom of the device remain curved. The previous models sported a pebble-like design.
The Nokia 105 4G will arrive in 3 colors, Dark Blue, Red, and Black. It was made of polycarbonate that measures 121 x 50 x 14.5mm in dimensions and weighs around 80.2g.
It will come with a 1.8″ QVGA LCD Panel, powered by a UNISOC T107 chipset along with boots Series 30+ OS. Other features include an LED torch, a 3-in-1 speaker, readout, FM radio( wired and wireless), a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a MicroUSB port.
Contrary to its predecessors, the all-new Nokia 105 4G will support LTE connectivity as well as Alipay, but the catch is users will need a smartphone to set up the mobile payment feature. These two features are the stars of the show.
HMD Global is targeting the elderly with the Nokia 105 4G, which is backed with a 1020mAh removable battery. Nokia claims 18 days of battery life on standby time on their single SIM variant with 2G connection and 14 days on LTE connection.
The Nokia 105 4G will be priced at Yuan 229 or $36(2,673 INR). It is available for pre-order from June 29 and customers are required to deposit $2(150 INR).
Customers pre-ordering the handset will get a substantial discount of $5 (370 INR) which will get them the device for Yuan 199 or $31(2,303 INR). It will be available for purchase from 5th May.
