NODWIN Gaming Secures INR 64 Crores Investment from Nazara Technologies to Fuel Growth in Gaming and Esports

A New Chapter in NODWIN Gaming’s Journey

The Board of NODWIN Gaming has approved plans to initiate a private financing round, with Nazara being the first investor to back this initiative. The investment will be structured as convertible preferred stock, reflecting the strong confidence both boards have in NODWIN’s vision and potential.

The funds raised will primarily be directed towards accelerating NODWIN Gaming’s ongoing expansion efforts. This includes enhancing its capabilities, growing its portfolio of intellectual properties (IPs), and strengthening its presence in emerging markets, where the demand for gaming and esports continues to surge.

Impressive Growth Trajectory

NODWIN Gaming has demonstrated remarkable growth, both organically and through strategic acquisitions. In its recently announced Q2 FY24 results, the company reported a staggering 91% increase in revenue on a quarter-over-quarter basis and an impressive 111% year-over-year growth. This growth trajectory is further supported by NODWIN’s recent investments in Comicon India and the acquisition of Trinity Gaming, which are set to enhance its offerings and reach.

Vision for the Future

Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, expressed his gratitude for Nazara Technologies’ unwavering support. He stated, “We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Nazara Technologies for their unwavering support and trust in the NODWIN Gaming vision every step of the way. Their belief in our mission has been instrumental in driving our progress and success. As we continue on our growth and expansion journey, we remain fully committed to building a truly global company coming from India that leads with innovation, expanding our capabilities in new-age media in emerging markets. Our focus is on capturing the attention and timeshare of mindshare of the global youth.”

Expanding Global Footprint

Founded by Akshat Rathee and Gautam Singh Virk, NODWIN Gaming boasts a diverse portfolio of IPs, including prominent tournaments, festivals, and conferences that resonate with young audiences across esports, gaming, music, comedy, pop culture, and live experiences.

Recently, NODWIN has expanded its reach through several strategic acquisitions, including:

  • Freaks 4U Gaming: A German esports and gaming marketing agency.
  • Comic Con: A well-known events company.
  • Publishme: A marketing agency focused on West Asia and Turkey.
  • Branded: A Singapore-based live events firm.
  • Ninja Global: A Turkish esports and gaming company.

These acquisitions not only enhance NODWIN’s capabilities but also position the company as a key player in the global gaming and esports landscape.

Valuation and Future Prospects

As of November 2024, NODWIN Gaming was valued at $410 million USD (INR 3,441 Crores). Alongside Nazara Technologies, other notable shareholders include Krafton, JetSynthesys, and Sony Group, all of whom recognize the immense potential of NODWIN Gaming in the rapidly evolving entertainment sector.
