Nintendo announces the new Nintendo Switch (OLED model) which will be available from 8th October for $349.99

Nintendo has finally announced the new Nintendo Switch (OLED Model). The upgraded version of the Nintendo Switch will officially launch on 8th October for a price of $349.99.

However, the newly announced upgraded version isn’t the Nintendo Switch Pro version that everyone was expecting. It doesn’t have 4K upscaling or NVIDIA DLSS support.

Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser stated: “The new Nintendo Switch OLED model is a great option for players who want to experience the new vibrant screen when playing in handheld and tabletop mode. With the addition of this new model to the Nintendo Switch family of systems, people have an additional choice of a system that best fits the gaming experience they desire – whether it’s the Nintendo Switch OLED model, Nintendo Switch, or Nintendo Switch Lite.”

The new Nintendo Switch features a vibrant 7-inch OLED screen, a wide adjustable stand, a dock with a wired LAN port, 64 GB of internal storage, and enhanced audio.

The main features of the new Nintendo Switch (OLED model):

  • 7-inch OLED screen
  • Wide, adjustable stand
  • Built-in wired LAN port
  • 64 GB internal storage
  • Enhanced audio

It supports three types of mode:

  • TV Mode
  • Tabletop Mode
  • Handheld Mode
