Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are being linked with a swap deal involving Neymar moving to the Etihad while Bernardo Silva moves back to France.

According to ‘Le Parisien’ in France, the two players could make the switch to either club, if terms can be agreed. However, it is very rare that a true swap deal goes through between any two clubs. And considering the quality of the players involved, it is even more likely that the move won’t go through. But, anything is possible in the transfer market.

Neymar and Bernardo Silva being linked with swap

The Brazilian has recently been linked with an exit from PSG, even though he has a contract until 2026. Although Christophe Galtier and the player himself wants to stay, the board has other plans. Potential suitors are being discussed for the Brazilian, although his hefty wages will become an issue.

On the other hand, Bernardo Silva is a very important player for Pep Guardiola. His form has been inconsistent, but on his day, he remains one of the best in the Premier League. The Portugal international has been linked with a move to Barcelona recently, and Guardiola is not keen on the idea of losing the player.

Silva has a contract with Manchester City until 2025, much like Neymar. So, any move for him would be very expensive. If the swap deal is carried out, it would no doubt be one of the most high-profile transfers of the summer.
