New ODI Jersey : Team India’s iconic blue has received a vibrant makeover! In a surprise announcement on Friday, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah and Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur unveiled the all new ODI jersey for both the men’s and women’s cricket teams. With a design blending tradition and modernity, the jersey is set to inspire players and fans alike as India gears up for upcoming matches and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

New ODI Jersey : Jay Shah and Harmanpreet Kaur Unveil Team India’s New Tri-Color ODI Jersey for Men & Women

A Fresh Look with a Patriotic Touch

The newly unveiled jersey retains India’s classic blue as the primary color but now features a striking tri-color gradient on the shoulders, representing the Indian flag. This bold design marks a shift from the previous ODI World Cup jersey, which had tri-colored stripes. Adidas, India’s kit sponsor since May 2023, has infused the jersey with an added dose of national pride while keeping the overall aesthetic sleek and modern.

Harmanpreet Kaur, visibly excited at the unveiling, said:
“It’s an honor to unveil the jersey today. I’m really happy that we’ll be the first ones to wear this jersey against the West Indies. The tri-color on the shoulders looks beautiful, and I’m sure fans will love it too.”

When Will India Wear the New Jersey?

• India Women’s Team: The women’s team will debut the jersey during their three-match ODI series against the West Indies, starting on December 22 in Vadodara.
• India Men’s Team: Although the men’s team is currently preparing for their ODI series in Australia, they are expected to don the new jersey in future ODI assignments, with an eye on the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Adidas’ Continued Innovation in Indian Cricket

Since Adidas took over as India’s official kit sponsor, the team’s jerseys have undergone frequent updates to match the grandeur of global cricketing events.

• For the 2023 ODI World Cup, Adidas introduced a jersey featuring subtle tri-colored stripes.
• Earlier this year, the men’s team sported a unique kit during the T20 World Cup victory parade in Mumbai.

The inclusion of the Indian flag’s tri-color gradient on the latest jersey highlights Adidas’ commitment to blending innovation with the deep-rooted emotions of Indian cricket fans.

Fans React to the Tri-Color Design

The addition of the tri-color gradient on the shoulders has garnered praise from fans for its patriotic appeal. Social media is abuzz with excitement, with many calling it a “perfect mix of tradition and style.”

For players, too, the jersey holds a special place. Harmanpreet remarked, “Wearing a jersey is by itself a special feeling. There is so much hard work that goes into it. I hope Indian fans make this jersey their own and wear it with pride.”

What’s Next for Team India?

The unveiling comes at a pivotal time for Indian cricket:

• India Women’s Team: They are heading to Australia for a three-match ODI series starting December 5 before returning home to face the West Indies in T20Is and ODIs later in the month.
• India Men’s Team: While the new jersey won’t feature in the Australia tour, fans can expect to see it in action during upcoming home series or major tournaments like the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025.

Team India’s new ODI jersey isn’t just a change in design, it’s a celebration of the spirit of Indian cricket. With its bold tri-color gradient and timeless blue, it bridges the gap between tradition and modernity. As fans eagerly await its debut on the field, one thing is certain: this jersey will become an enduring symbol of Team India’s quest for glory.
