Finally, Videocardz has unveiled the upcoming RTX 3080 Ti FE even before the actual launch, which is going to be held on Monday at Computex 2021. Already, the specs of the upcoming GPU is confirmed; now, the pictures prove this is almost a look-alike the original RTX 3080.
So, you have the same cooling solution, including a 2-slot wide and dual-fan design, with each fan mounted on a different side of the card, just like the RTX 3080.
Also, NVIDIA will keep the 12-pin power connector alive with the RTX 3080 Ti so that you will need a compatible power supply cable or an adapter; however, a custom edition of the card will feature traditional 8-pin power connectors.
It is rated at 350W, a slight 30W increase in TDP from the RTX 3080 and is equal to the rating of the RTX 3090. However, we could know more about the card and its performance or even cooling when reviews go live just before the launch date scheduled on June 3rd.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti features a GA102-225 GPU with 10240 CUDA cores and 320 Tensor along with 80 RT cores. It will have a boost clock of 1665 MHz, which is slightly lower than RTX 3090’s 1695 MHz. It will be equipped with a fast 12GB of GDDR6X memory across a 384-bit memory bus in terms of memory.
There’s no info about the pricing yet, but it will have pricing between RTX 3080 and RTX 3090. It could be a solid competitor to the RX 6900 XT; however, you may not have to wait long as the Computex Keynote is scheduled for May 31st.
