The 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol engine in the new, redesigned Maruti Baleno produces 89 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque and features idle start-stop technology. There are two transmission options: an AMT and a 5-speed manual. The CNG-powered hatchback from Maruti Suzuki will soon be available across the nation. The CNG model will have the same 1.2L DualJet engine with a CNG kit installed at the manufacturer. A minor reduction in power and torque will occur. The new CNG variations will have a 25 km/kg fuel efficiency.

One of the features offered on the Baleno is a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring Android Auto and Apple Car Play, as well as a reversing camera, Arkamys sound system, a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, cruise control, and more. Other options include keyless entry, automatic climate control, and push-button start/stop. For the protection of the passengers, it provides up to 6 airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, hill-hold assistance, and ISOFIX anchorages.
