If you’re a fan of unconventional superhero stories with a Korean twist, mark your calendar for December 26, 2025. Netflix is bringing Cashero, a thrilling new K-drama that reimagines what it means to have superpowers in the most unexpected way possible.

Based on the popular webtoon by Lee Hoon and No Hye Ok, Cashero tells the story of Kang Sang Woong, a superhero whose strength grows with the amount of cash he possesses. Yes, you read that right—money literally equals power in this unique take on the superhero genre. Directed by Lee Chang Min, known for his work on Agency, this series promises to blend action, humor, and social commentary in a way only Korean dramas can deliver.

Quick Facts About Cashero

Star-Studded Cast Brings Characters to Life

The series boasts an impressive ensemble led by 2PM’s Lee Jun Ho as Kang Sang Woong, the cash-powered hero. Kim Hyang Gi plays his sister Kang Sang An, while Kim Hye Joon takes on a mysterious leading role. Netflix veterans will recognize Kim Byung Chul from All of Us Are Dead and Doctor Cha, playing Byeon Ho In. Supporting roles include Kang Han Na and Lee Chae Min, ensuring a well-rounded cast that K-drama fans will appreciate.

A Fresh Take on Superhero Stories

What makes Cashero stand out is its clever premise. In a world where most superhero narratives focus on genetic mutations or alien origins, this drama explores how ordinary people with extraordinary abilities protect everyday citizens. The concept of money as a power source adds an intriguing layer of social commentary, making viewers question the relationship between wealth and influence.

Filming wrapped up in July 2024 after a five-month production schedule, and the series is currently in post-production. With Netflix’s track record of delivering high-quality Korean content, from Squid Game to Kingdom, expectations are sky-high for this superhero adaptation.
