1. 1899 

Premiered on: November 17, 2022 

Canceled after 1 season. The 1899 film was a silent short called “The Kiss,” directed by William Heise for Thomas Edison’s film company. The plot is simple: a man and woman kiss for 30 seconds while standing in front of a painted backdrop of a garden.

The woman raises her right hand and adjusts the man’s tie while he puts his arm around her waist. The scene ends with the couple smiling at each other as they break the kiss. At the time, the film was considered scandalous due to the intimate nature of the kiss, and it is often credited as one of the earliest examples of narrative filmmaking.

2. Inside Job 

Premiered on: October 22, 2021 

Canceled after 1 season. The 2010 documentary “Inside Job,” directed by Charles Ferguson, examines the causes of the 2008 financial crisis. 3. Uncoupled 

Premiered on: July 29, 2022 

Uncoupled has been canceled after 1 season. The series was picked up for Season 2 by Showtime. Michael’s life seemed to be perfect until his long-time partner blindsided him after 17 years of being in a long time relationship. He has to confront the nightmares of losing his soulmate and suddenly finding himself as a single gay man in his mid-40s.

4. Dead End: Paranormal Park 

Premiered on: June 16, 2022 

Canceled after 2 seasons. Two teens and a talking pug team up to battle demons at a haunted theme park and maybe even save the world from a supernatural apocalypse. 

5. Cobra Kai 

Premiered on: May 2, 2018 

Ending after 6 seasons. “Cobra Kai” is a Netflix original series and sequel to the 1980s film franchise “The Karate Kid.” The show follows the lives of the original film’s protagonist, Daniel LaRusso, and his rival, Johnny Lawrence, over 30 years after their initial karate tournament. The series explores the renewed rivalry between the two men and their involvement with their respective karate dojos, Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do. The show incorporates themes of redemption, mentorship, and generational conflict, while also introducing new characters and storylines. 

6. You 

Premiered on: September 9, 2018 

Ending after 5 seasons. “You” is a psychological thriller television series on Netflix. The show follows Joe Goldberg, a bookstore manager, who becomes obsessed with a customer, Guinevere Beck, and begins to stalk her. Through Joe’s perspective, the series explores the dark and twisted nature of his infatuation with Beck and the dangerous lengths he goes to in order to be with her. As the series progresses, Joe’s past and his troubling behaviors are revealed, while new characters and storylines are introduced. 7. Firefly Lane 

Premiered on: February 3, 2021 

Canceled after 2 seasons. “Firefly Lane” is a Netflix drama series based on the novel of the same name by Kristin Hannah. This series has been Canceled after 8 seasons. Season 7 will premiere in 2023 and Season 8 will premiere in 2024. “Big Mouth” is an animated Netflix original comedy series about the awkward and often embarrassing experiences of puberty. 11. The Chair (Netflix)
