Netflix’s Biggest Releases: June 1-7, 2026

The Month of Rocky & Creed Begins

Netflix is kicking off June 1st with a legendary gift for action fans: every Rocky movie and all three Creed films hitting the platform simultaneously. This is a complete franchise marathon opportunity—from Rocky Balboa’s first fight in 1976 through Michael B. Jordan’s modern-day continuation of the legacy.

Whether you’re a die-hard fan or someone who’s never seen these films, this is the perfect opportunity to experience two generations of boxing cinema. Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan deliver performances packed with in-ring danger, emotional depth, and undeniable chemistry with their opponents.

Jennifer Lopez’s Spicy New Rom-Com: Office Romance

The highlight of the week might be “Office Romance,” arriving June 5 with Jennifer Lopez pairing with “Ted Lasso” star Brett Goldstein. This isn’t your typical corporate rom-com—it’s being billed as “spicy,” suggesting genuine chemistry and undeniable tension between two fiercely competitive executives vying for the same major promotion.

Forced to team up on a high-stakes corporate retreat, they discover that their intense professional rivalry is masking something far more complicated. The workplace rom-com has experienced a renaissance lately, and with JLo’s star power and Goldstein’s comedic timing, this could be one of 2026’s most entertaining films.

The Witness: True Crime Drama Excellence

“The Witness,” arriving June 4, is a UK crime drama based on true events from 1992. The series follows Alex and André Hanscombe as they navigate the devastating aftermath of a brutal act of violence resulting in Rachel Nickell’s murder. It’s paired with the documentary “The Murder of Rachel Nickell,” giving viewers multiple perspectives on this tragic historical event.

This double-feature approach allows audiences to understand both the dramatized narrative and the factual reality of the case.

Sports Celebrations and Global Stories

“Mexico 86,” starring Diego Luna, arrives June 6 as a sports comedy celebrating the 1986 World Cup. This film arrives perfectly timed with ongoing World Cup excitement, telling the story of the Mexican team that helped create one of history’s most memorable tournaments against all odds.

According to sports documentaries on Wikipedia, the best examples celebrate not just the game but the human stories behind athletic achievement. “Mexico 86” promises exactly that—combining historical sports drama with high-stakes tension.

International Variety and Animation

International Netflix subscribers have plenty to celebrate. “Night Shift for Cuties,” the Indonesian comedy series, arrives June 3, while “The Marked Woman,” a Spanish thriller about a woman found in a shipping container with no memory, promises mystery and intrigue on June 2.
