Netflix rolls out 'Fast Laughs' on the mobile app, a TikTok-like feature to watch short funny clips

Netflix is putting some big bets in the ever-growing streaming market like India because it is testing another new plan that can be found only in India. Yes, you can now stream up to Full-HD by paying just Rs. 299 per month and is called the Mobile+ Plan.

Obviously, the ever-popular Rs. 199 plan is the most widely preferred plan by Indians but it is limited to only 480p and if you are an HD streamer then the plan is not for you. So, the new Mobile+ Plan just costs Rs. 100 more is for those who want to see Netflix content at 1080p without any interruption.

However, at only Rs. 299 per month you are limited to your mobile, tablet, and PC/laptop but it makes sense as a lot of us do not actually end up watching Netflix on TV always. So, this Mobile+ Plan is a real deal for a lot of people who want to stream at FHD quality without having to spend much.

In a statement to ET, Netflix India said: “We launched the mobile plan in India to make it easier for anyone with a smartphone to enjoy Netflix. We want to see if members like the added choice Mobile+ brings. We’ll only roll it out long-term if they do.”

On top of that, you still have different profiles to watch your content and you can share an account with your friends as well but only one device can play at a time like the normal Mobile plan. Still, this is a good plan for a lot of people who haven’t joined Netflix yet or are looking to upgrade as well.
