After the action-heavy The Paradise, Nani is changing gears. In a chat with The Hollywood Reporter India, the actor confirmed that a love story is lined up after his stylish action-comedy Bloody Romeo. It sounds like a deliberate shift toward something gentler.
What Nani Said?
Nani described the love story as a subtle, sweet film meant for all audiences. He added a human touch: children are always the first to run up to him at public events, and he is happy to be working on something even they can watch. He gave no title, director or release date for it.
Bloody Romeo: The Stylish Warm-Up
Bloody Romeo is directed by Sujeeth, known for OG. Nani didn’t reveal his character, but he called it “a very theatrical, stylish experience” and said Sujeeth added a twist that makes it witty as well as action-packed. He also said it will put him in a new character and world after The Paradise.

Where Things Stand?
The Paradise, set in the 1980s, follows the nomadic Savaari tribe and a young man who rises against an oppressive landlord. It features music by Anirudh Ravichander and received an underwhelming critical response. Nani’s recent comments show him already looking ahead. Bloody Romeo was announced on his birthday earlier this year, but its story and characters are still under wraps.
Why This Matters for Fans?
Moving from a gritty rebellion drama to a stylish action-comedy, and then to a gentle love story, shows how wide Nani wants his range to be. A film that families and kids can enjoy is a clear promise to the audience that made him the “Natural Star.”
