Muthoot MCred Reports Significant Financial Growth in Q1 FY27

Muthoot MCred Limited, formerly known as Muthoottu Mini Financiers Limited, an Indian non-banking financial company (NBFC) specializing in gold loans, has announced its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company reported a substantial increase in profitability and assets under management (AUM) for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 (Q1 FY27).

Profit After Tax (PAT) for the quarter rose by 232.73% year-on-year, reaching ₹100.29 crore. Concurrently, Assets Under Management (AUM) expanded by 58.53% year-on-year, totaling ₹7,098.38 crore. Total income for Q1 FY27 stood at ₹399.64 crore, marking a 76.38% increase compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.

Muthoot MCred: Operational Performance and Asset Quality

Muthoot MCred maintained its asset quality standards, with Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPA) at 0.59% and Net NPA at 0.24% as of June 30, 2026. The company’s Return on Assets (ROA) improved to 5.17% in Q1 FY27, an increase from 2.84% recorded as of March 31, 2026. This indicates an improvement in the company’s profitability and asset utilization.

During the quarter, the company also expanded its branch network by 3.76% year-on-year, growing from 958 branches in Q1 FY26 to 994 branches in Q1 FY27. This expansion aims to enhance customer accessibility across key markets, with plans for further growth in diverse regions.
