Match 37 of the Indian Premier League (2020) featured a match of high stakes between the Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.

Both the teams have their backs against the wall as they’ll have to win all their matches to solidify their place in the playoffs. Unfortunately, it was CSK who found themselves on the wrong side of the equation as they faced a crushing defeat against the Rajasthan Royals.

However, there’s some silver lining for the CSK fans as their captain cool, the legendary MS Dhoni made two massive milestones which literally seem unimaginable to achieve!

MSD adds two huge feathers to his cap!

Dhoni became the first-ever player to play 200 IPL games. MSD has been a staple in the IPL since its first season back in 2008. He was contracted by the Chennai Super Kings as the most expensive player of IPL 2008.

Dhoni made another record as he completed 150 dismissals in IPL. The cricketing community is well aware of MSD’s unconventional yet effective wicket-keeping skills. Many rightfully believe he has the capacity to change the game from behind the stumps both as a keeper and as a batsman.

MSD has captained CSK to achieve the huge accomplishment of qualifying for the playoffs in every season of the IPL they’ve played. The franchise has won three IPL trophies and has been the runners up five times!

The franchise was suspended for two years from 2016-2017. They made a comeback by winning the 2018 season. MSD has been a long-time leader of the side. Before IPL 2020, he had captained the side in 174 matches with the highest winning percentage of 60%.

This season, however, has been disastrous for CSK. They are at the last position of the IPL points table with only three wins in 10 matches. They’ll have to win all four of their matches with a considerably healthy margin and wait for the permutations and combinations of other teams results and net run rates to qualify. However, chances of that seem to be extremely bleak.
