Motorola recently launched the Moto G31 in India at a price point of 12,999 INR or $175, now the latest rumor from tipster Mukul Sharma hints that the company will be launching yet another device in India, as a matter of fact in 7 days, on the 10th of December.
The Moto G51 will be the next device to come to the country next, the Moto G51 is the world’s first smartphone to debut the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ chipset.
Now, the Moto G51 will be the first smartphone in India to feature the Snapdragon 480+ as well. The device supports 5G connectivity and runs Android 11 OS out-of-the-box.
It comes with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage space onboard, however, this may be subject to change as we are not sure if this exact variant will release in India.
Coming to the display, the Moto G51 flaunts a 6.8” Full HD+ LCD display with a punch-hole camera in the center and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display has a high refresh rate of 120Hz.
The Moto G51 has a triple camera setup on the rear comprising a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro unit. The selfie camera is a 13MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, however, it should be noted that the Moto G51 that launched in China had a 16MP selfie shooter.
Apart from this, the Moto G51 comes with Dolby Atmos support, has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 5,000mAh battery. It has a USB Type-C port and charges up to 10W. The smartphone supports 12 different 5G bands.
The device also has a microSD card slot that supports memory expansion all the way up to 512GB
So, what can we expect the Moto G51 to be priced at? Earlier rumors indicate that the company is looking to release the device for 19,999 INR. If this is in fact the truth, then this will be the most affordable Moto G-Series phone with 5G support.
The Moto G 5G that was launched last November was priced at 20,999 INR. The Moto G51 that launched in Europe was priced at EUR 229.99, which is roughly 19,600 INR.
Keep in mind that these are the specs we saw in the models that were released in other markets across the world, so take the specs with a grain of salt. In any case, the changes to specs will be minor and not major.
