The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset-equipped Motorola Edge 50 Ultra would be the country’s second phone. Its 4,500mAh battery may be charged quickly both wirelessly and through cable connections. A USB Type-C port, dual 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, NavIC, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, and other connectivity options are available. It is dust- and water-resistant with an IP68 rating and has an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
Motorola Edge 50 Ultra specifications, features and launch rumours
A teaser of a smartphone with the tag “coming soon” was released by the Motorola India handle on X, formerly Twitter. All that’s visible in the picture is the future phone’s hollowed-out rear panel. It is definitely the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, especially the Nordic Wood model, based on the arrangement of the camera units and the wooden-textured rear panel. The words “‘Wood’ you believe it?” that appear in the image support this.
A new teaser released by the brand suggests that the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra India launch may be soon. According to the teaser image, it’s the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, which debuted in April along with the Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion. Since the Ultra is probably on its way here, these two phones are already available in India.
The triple rear camera unit of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra consists of a 64-megapixel telephoto shooter with up to 3x optical zoom, a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor with support for optical image stabilization (OIS), and another 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens. There is a 50-megapixel sensor in the front camera. A 4,500mAh battery and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC are included.
With a resolution of 2,712 x 1,220 pixels, it has a 6.67-inch curved pOLED display. With a smooth 144 Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 2,500 nits, this screen ensures great visibility even in direct sunlight. The display is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and supports HDR10+ for brilliant colors. A fingerprint sensor is integrated for security.
Although the phone’s name and launch date haven’t been disclosed yet, they should be shortly. The most costly model in the lineup is the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, which starts at EUR 999 (about Rs 88,800) in Europe.
