Motorola is gearing up for a potential phone launch in India, as hinted by a teaser for an upcoming event without divulging further details. Speculations point towards the unveiling of the purported Motorola Edge 50 Pro, although the model has yet to receive official confirmation. Motorola recently launched two smartphones the Moto G Power 5G (2024) and the Moto G 5G (2024) in the US. There is no confirmation yet on when they will be available in India.

In an announcement titled ‘Save The Date’ Motorola India disclosed an event scheduled for April 3 promising a blend of “art and intelligence.” The event is set to take place in New Delhi with details shared. However, it is widely anticipated that a new phone will be unveiled during the event with information and formal invitations expected to follow.

Speculation suggests that the upcoming launch may introduce the Motorola Edge 50 Pro as hinted by the teaser emphasizing “art” and “intelligence.” This hints at a device that could offer AI-driven features. Motorola has also teased the launch of the Moto X50 Ultra in China as an “AI Mobile Phone,” which is likely to be released as the Motorola Edge 50 Pro.

Rumored details about the Motorola Edge 50 Pro include its design options and colors such, as black, purple, and white models featuring a unique stone-like pattern. Leaked images showcase cameras and faux leather finishes.  The leaked renders on the lock screen showed the date April 3 sparking rumors about a launch on that day.

Rumored specifications for the Motorola Edge 50 Pro are expected to be released in the US as the Motorola Edge+ (2024) features a 6.7-inch display, with a 165Hz refresh rate. Its triple rear camera array is anticipated to house a 50-megapixel sensor, alongside a 13mm wide-angle lens and a 73mm telephoto shooter offering up to 6x zoom capabilities. The device may be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC coupled with 12GB of RAM and features a 4,500mAh battery supporting 125W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
