The forthcoming launch of the Moto G54 5G in China has been confirmed for September. This new model is anticipated to build upon the Moto G53 5G, which made its debut in China in December 2022 before reaching global markets in January 2023.

Leaked images of the Moto G54 have provided insights into its design, and additional rumors have shed light on key specifications. Much like its predecessor, the Moto G53 5G, which featured a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ SoC and a 5,000mAh battery with 10W wired charging, the Moto G54 is poised to bring enhancements and upgrades.

An official announcement was made by Motorola on China’s Weibo platform, revealing that the Moto G54 5G is set to be unveiled in China on September 5. Previous sightings of the phone on the FCC website under the model number XT-2343-1 hinted at its support for dual nano SIM cards, along with connectivity features like Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n/ac, NFC, and Bluetooth. The device has also been reportedly spotted on TDRA and BIS certification sites.

Meanwhile, design renders of the Moto G54 have appeared on China’s TENAA website. These images align with previous leaks, showing a design where the dual rear camera setup and LED flash are housed within a slightly raised rectangular camera island at the top left corner of the back panel. The display, reportedly with noticeable side bezels, incorporates a hole-punch slot centered for the selfie camera. Color options for the phone are anticipated to include black, blue, and green.

According to available reports, the Moto G54 is expected to sport a 6.5-inch full-HD+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, boasting a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The device is said to offer 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. In terms of photography, the camera module is likely to house a 50-megapixel primary sensor on the rear with optical image stabilization (OIS), complemented by a 16-megapixel front camera sensor.

Powering the Moto G54 5G could be a 4,850mAh battery, with color variants potentially including Ambrosia, Ballad Blue, Coronet Blue, and Outer Space. By comparison, its predecessor, the Moto G53 5G, is priced at EUR 299 (approximately ₹22,100) for the 4GB + 128GB variant and is available in Ink Blue, Arctic Silver, and Pale Pink color choices.
