The absolute winner of the most popular football stadiums on Instagram is Spain’s stadium Camp Nou. The home stadium of FC Barcelona generates more than 2 million hashtags on the social media platform.
Since the club’s formation in 1892, FC Liverpool’s home stadium, Anfield places second with 1,279,848 hashtags.
Following closely behind, in third place with 1,222,542 Instagram hashtags is Italy’s San Siro football stadium, which is one of the largest European stadiums, with a seating capacity of 80,018.
Fourth is Manchester United’s home stadium Old Trafford. The 11th largest football stadium in Europe receives 1,178,466hashtags.
Rounding off in fifth place is another Spanish football stadium – Santiago Bernabéu. The home stadium of Real Madrid has 637,189 hashtags on Instagram and is one of the most popular football stadiums on Instagram.
