Rumors are rife that the Xiaomi 12 will be the first phone to debut Xiaomi’s latest UI, MIUI 13 out-of-the-box. We came to know this when a company executive revealed that he has been using MIUI 13, and now the company has revealed the software’s improved upgrades over MIUI 12.5.
Xiaomi claims that the upcoming version of MIUI would solely focus on delivering a smooth and fluent experience. In comparison to the previous versions, the MIUI 13 will feature a 15% to 52% boost in matters of system fluency.
This means that the apps will open quicker, and the frame drop rate will be reduced by nearly 90%. The MIUI 13 will also have Focus Computing 2.0, liquid storage, and atomic memory, resulting in faster read and write times.
In addition to this, the company CEO Lei Jun has shared a poll on Weibo asking users for their opinion on what features they expect to see in the upcoming MIUI 13. The majority of them reported that they expect the software to be bug-free, which does not come as a surprise.
It appears that Xiaomi has already focused on the stability of the MIUI 13 and so it has listed similar options in the poll as well. Note that the MIUI 13 will run on top of Android 12 OS for the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphones.
Recently, the company revealed the list of its first batch of phones set to receive the update.
The phones that are eligible for the update are Xiaomi 11 Ultra, Xiaomi 11, Redmi K40 Pro, K40 Pro+, and the Xiaomi 11 Youth Edition.
Interestingly, the company is also testing the MIUI 13 on 2019’s Redmi Note 8, which may get the official update in the next batch.
