Microsoft's new Store on Windows 11 looks visually intuitive

Yesterday, Microsoft finally unveiled the long-awaited Windows 11 and shown all the features of the new OS, that was fully leaked days ago. Nevertheless, the Store looks completely revamped from top to bottom to compete against the even more popular Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

The Redmond giant’s new Windows 11 will be a free upgrade for Windows 10 users, so you can expect a completely new look to the Store you have generally seen until now. So, the upgrade exhibits a new, lighter, as well as a potentially more navigable UI, looking far modern and intuitive.

The store could eventually remind the design of the Apple App Store or even the Chrome Web Store; however, Microsoft has kept the Store’s theme in line with the whole UI. Also, the new version of the Store has been designed to cater to the app developers.

Not only that, Microsoft is even pushing developers to make apps for the new Store by introducing a new system by which developers who contribute apps to this renewed Store may get more attractive revenue shares using Microsoft’s commerce engine.

Microsoft even said the new Store was designed to deal with ‘technical and policy constraints built into the original foundations of the Store.’ In addition, the Redmond giant has taken some inspiration from various TV OSes out there because there will be a new form of content aggregation from the entertainment apps found on the platform.

Interestingly, users could install apps and even get special offers like movie discounts for Xbox Game Pass members, much like Google Play Rewards. In addition, there will be a bunch of new apps coming to the Microsoft Store, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Disney+, TikTok, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Visual Studio.

Even the app page of the Store has completely been revamped with a new look and helps focus on what are the main things associated with the app. You can also get information about top apps, games, and other curated stories, while there will also be a ‘pop up’ store that will help you install apps from the web.
