Microsoft’s AI Odyssey: Skilling 100,000 Indian Developers in Advanced AI Technologies

Microsoft has declared the launch of an ambitious initiative, ‘AI Odyssey’, that targets to educate 100,000 developers across India in the latest AI tools and technologies. The program is designed to offer a comprehensive learning journey, enabling developers to acquire and demonstrate the crucial skills required to implement significant projects using AI technologies that align with business objectives.

Microsoft launches AI Odyssey to Skill 100,000 Developers in India in Latest AI Technologies & Tools

As AI continues to reshape our work and lives, it is crucial for India to have a workforce proficient in using AI to solve intricate problems and add value. Initiatives like AI Odyssey make it possible for Microsoft to provide a platform for developers to contribute to India’s growth and exhibit their talent in solving real-world challenges.

How to Join the AI Odyssey?

To partake in the AI Odyssey, interested developers need to register on aka.ms/AIOdyssey where they can access various learning modules and resources. Open to all AI enthusiasts in India, irrespective of their experience level or background, this month-long program consists of two levels that participants must complete by January 31, 2024.

The first level of the program is designed to educate participants on utilizing Azure AI services to create and deploy AI solutions for diverse scenarios. It provides them with valuable resources, code samples, and guides to acquire practical AI skills.

The second level presents a challenge for participants to demonstrate their AI skills by completing an online assessment with interactive lab tasks. Successful completion earns them a Microsoft Applied Skills credential, a new verifiable credential that confirms their ability to solve real-world problems using AI.

Participants who successfully complete both levels also have the opportunity to win a VIP pass to attend the Microsoft AI Tour in Bangalore on February 8, 2024. This one-of-a-kind event will showcase the transformative impact of generative AI, featuring keynote sessions, demos, workshops, and opportunities to learn from Microsoft experts, and partners, and peers.

AI: The Future of Innovation

Irina Ghose, Managing Director of Microsoft India, expressed her enthusiasm about the initiative. “AI is the future of innovation, and India is leading the way with its tech talent. The Microsoft Applied Skills credential will help developers demonstrate their competence and creativity in the most in-demand AI skills and scenarios. We welcome all developers to join us in creating meaningful AI solutions that will contribute to India’s economy.”

In conclusion, Microsoft’s AI Odyssey promises to be an exciting journey for developers in India eager to enhance their AI skills and contribute to the country’s technological advancement. This initiative sets the stage for developers to learn, innovate, and showcase their talents in harnessing the power of AI.
