Microsoft Xbox Series X to be priced at $599?

Microsoft will be bringing their next-gen console ‘Xbox Series X’ this year. It will launch almost simultaneously with Sony’s PS5. Many people are confused about deciding which gaming console to buy.

The Xbox team has formally announced a November launch of the new gaming console. The upcoming Xbox Series X supports the games from its previous generation Xboxes i.e. Xbox One, Xbox 360, and the generation one Xbox.

Microsoft will deliver 10 GB of bandwidth at 560 GB/s, or 6GB at 336 GB/s. For storage, the Xbox Series X is using a custom NVME SSD with 1 TB of capacity. The SSD seems fast too, with 2.4 GB/s RAW, but that as much as doubles to 4.8 GB/s when the console uses compression with a custom hardware decompression block.

Xbox Series X price leaked

Microsoft has revealed everything about the Xbox except the price of the new console. This is the same case with Sony’s PS5. In the previous editions of their consoles, Sony’s PS4 was priced less than Xbox One and it gained the majority of the market. So both of them are keeping their lips closed about the pricing.

A recent news has come up to the surface which has leaked the price of Xbox Series X. Someone sent a screenshot of the Xbox Series X listed at a retail store. The Xbox Series X was listed for $599.

Although the source couldn’t be verified, it seems fair for the new Xbox to be priced at $599. This means Xbox Series S will be priced much lower at around $400. So Xbox would definitely have the chance to compete with Sony’s PlayStation on the price front.

There has been a lot of debate on this matter. People were excited to know how much the Xbox Series X will pinch their pocket. So you can now start planning to buy the Xbox Series X when it is up for pre-order or released in the last quarter of 2020.

Microsoft is expected to reveal some information about the much anticipated Xbox Series X this month, so stay tuned here to get the latest updates.
