Mi A3 India Teased With Snapdragon Chip, Sony IMX 48 MP sensor, wide angle lens, in-display finger print…

Qualcomm recently unveiled three new mid-range chips couple of weeks back, and Xiaomi has confirmed to be using one of them in their next smartphone series in the country.

Xiaomi Global VP and India MD Manu Kumar Jain confirmed. Their next being A series smartphone, the teased handset is being expected to be Mi A3. The upcoming Xiaomi phone will come with the latest Snapdragon 700 series processor.

Xiaomi Smartphone To Come With New Snapdragon 700 Series

The teased smartphone being a Xiaomi series device and not Redmi, we can safely assume that it’s the next Mi A smartphone under Mi series of Xiaomi. Qualcomm announced three new Snapdragon chips: Snapdragon 665, 730 and 730G.

Tweet says that the upcoming Xiaomi phone in India will run on the latest Snapdragon 7_ _ series. It didn’t reveal any further details about the upcoming Xiaomi device, but the previous leaks about Mi A3 hint at being a Xiaomi Mi 9X rip off based on Android One, with features in line with the current bestseller, Redmi Note 7 Pro.

What To Expect?

The smartphone is going to be highly inspired by Redmi Note 7 Pro in India, the current Xiaomi best seller in the country. Starting with the design, the smartphone will come with a glass sandwich body, an upgrade over the current metal build on Mi A2.

It will have a dot notch Full HD+ display on top with a 19.5:9 screen aspect ratio. There has been leaks about an in-display fingerprint sensor as well.

The company will be adding the best Sony IMX 586 48MP sensor. It’s expected to be a dual rear camera system, and a three rear camera setup. The new addition could be a wide angle lens apart from the main and depth sensor.

Mi A3 being an Android One device, will run on the latest Android 9 Pie. Stock Android come with guaranteed version upgrades till Android Q and R. The battery may see an upgrade as well with the support for fast charging. Mi A2 came with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging technology support.

Price and launch date

Finally, coming to the Mi A3 India price, the existence of exclusive features as the new chip, in-display fingerprint sensor, three rear cameras will push the price. Mi A3 is expected to be priced around 17,000 rupees in India.

Mi A3 India launch is expected to happen in May, either in the middle or the last week.
