The production house T-Series took to social media to share the news, stating, “When love, fate and city life collide, magic is bound to happen! #MetroInDino brings the stories of heart from the cities that you love! Experience it on #July4th in cinemas near you.”
Metro In Dino Release Date Officially Announced
Metro In Dino brings together a stellar cast featuring some of Bollywood’s most talented actors. The film stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sensharma, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
With such a diverse ensemble, the film promises a captivating portrayal of urban relationships and human emotions.
Production Delays and Clarification
For months, there were reports suggesting that the film might not release in 2025. However, the production team has dismissed such claims.
In an official statement, they clarified, “On the contrary to some media reports claiming that Metro In Dino is getting pushed, we confirm the movie is releasing this year in 2025.”
This assurance puts an end to all speculation and confirms that audiences can experience the film in theatres on July 4, 2025.
Music by Pritam
A key highlight of Metro In Dino is its music, composed by the renowned Pritam. Having collaborated with Anurag Basu on films like Life in a… Metro, Barfi!, and Ludo, Pritam is expected to deliver yet another memorable soundtrack.
Given that music played a crucial role in Life in a… Metro, fans can anticipate another emotionally rich album that enhances the film’s storytelling.
Filming and Concept Development
The idea for Metro In Dino had been in Anurag Basu’s mind for years, but it was during the Covid-19 pandemic that he finally developed the project. The film officially began shooting in 2022, and after an extensive production schedule, filming wrapped up in March 2024.
Much like its predecessor Life in a… Metro, the film is expected to explore the interconnected stories of urban life, focusing on themes of love, destiny, and personal struggles.
Anurag Basu’s Upcoming Films
Besides Metro In Dino, Anurag Basu is also working on another major film starring Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela, set for a Diwali 2025 release.
The film’s first look was unveiled recently, featuring a slowed-down version of “Tu hi zindagi hai, tu hi aashiqui hai”. While fans are speculating whether this project is the third installment of Aashiqui, no official confirmation has been made.
With a talented ensemble cast, an engaging storyline, and a soulful soundtrack by Pritam, Metro In Dino is shaping up to be a must-watch film of 2025. Now that the Metro In Dino release date is set for July 4, fans can eagerly anticipate another heartwarming cinematic experience from Anurag Basu.
