Ahn Bo Hyun Casting Details at a Glance

From Feared Instructor to Partner-in-Crime-Solving

Ahn Bo Hyun returns as Jin Yi Soo, a third-generation chaebol heir who treats his wealth and connections like built-in cheat codes for police work. Joining him is Jung Eun Chae as Joo Hye Ra, remembered as the tough “devil instructor” who once made trainee Jin Yi Soo’s police academy days miserable. Now, years later, she’s back in his life — this time as his investigative partner on the violent crimes unit.

The First Look

The newly released stills show Jung Eun Chae fully transformed into her detective role, pairing a sharply tailored police uniform with a boyish black leather jacket. The production team praised her for embodying exactly the layered charm they envisioned for Joo Hye Ra — visually striking, cool on the surface, yet clearly passionate underneath.

Buddy-cop dynamics built on old rivalries have long been a reliable storytelling device across crime dramas globally, a format with roots traceable through Wikipedia’s overview of the buddy cop genre.
