MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 1200 chipset beats the Snapdragon 865 in performance

As per reports, MediaTek is expected to announce a new chipset later in January. As of now, the company has not revealed the name of the chipset, but some fresh leaks have provided much information such as the name as well as some other details of it, it is going to the MediaTek Dimensity 1200. The leaks are saying that it will be a 6nm chipset that will definitely bring some sheer improvement regarding performance and efficiency.

The Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that he has gone through the specifications of the Dimensity 1200 chipset and it looks like the Dimensity chipset is more powerful than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and can beat it easily. The clock speed of Snapdragon 865 SoC is 2.84GHz, lower compared to the Dimensity 1200 SoC. This chipset is said to have a higher frequency by which it can increase its performance to a certain extent.

Talking about its sibling the Dimensity 1000+ chipset which is clocked at 2.6GHz. Another leak has recently got revealed, saying that the Dimensity 1200 will be clocked at 3.0GHz for its prime A78 core, also, its three A78 cores clocked at 2.6GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. Apart from the upgradation on the CPU performance, this chipset is said to have a better 5G modem and an improved Image Signal Processor (ISP), which basically offers the user to capture better images compared to the previous generation chipsets.

As per the availability, after its launch, the Dimensity 1200 chipset is about to get appeared on Vivo, OPPO, Realme, and iQOO.
