The demand for the 5G handsets is increasing rapidly though countries like India have not yet the network facility available. All the SoC manufacturers are currently proactive to fulfil the demand by providing 5G enabled chips to smartphone manufacturers. Not only that but managing the price is also a challenge they have taken.
All the chip manufacturers like Qualcomm, MediaTek have already joined the race. MediaTek’s Dimensity chips have shown real performance in the mid-range smartphones and more smartphones are adapting to the cost effective 7nm based Dimensity chipsets.
As per a recent report from Taiwanese media, MediaTek may release its Dimensity 600 SoC as early as this quarter to take a lead in the race. Though there are no clear details about this product, the experts familiar with these things are saying it can give ahead to head challenge to its competitors.
