Kylian Mbappe could be on his way to Real Madrid by the end of the transfer window. Tensions have started to emerge in his relationship with the PSG fans, as he was booed by the crowd during their home match against Strasbourg.

The 22-year-old was also left out of the list of guests for Ander Herrera’s birthday party, which could imply tensions in between the players as well.

According to several reports, Mbappe called a meeting with PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi and asked him to negotiate a transfer with Real Madrid this summer. The player has been offered a contract extension several times, but has turned the board down every time.

With only one year remaining on his current deal, Mbappe could walk out of the club for free if PSG let his contract run down without a renewal. As a result, Mbappe’s preferred destination, Real Madrid, could end up swooping in for him this summer than wait till next summer when he will be a free agent.

PSG would not want to lose a talent of his nature on a free transfer, and it makes sense to let him go this summer for a notable fee instead. A sum worth €150 million is being rumoured as the amount of money needed to bring the French attacker to Spain, and with Madrid abstaining from transfers over the last two years, they could finally make their statement signing in the next two weeks.
