Mary Kom’s Bigg Boss 20 Entry Reopens Her Personal Story: The Onler Kom Divorce and Hitesh Choudhary Speculation

As Mary Kom steps into the Bigg Boss 20 house, the boxing icon’s personal life is back under the spotlight — specifically her nearly two-decade marriage to Onler Kom and the swirling rumors about her bond with businessman Hitesh Choudhary. Here’s the full picture.

Mary Kom and Onler Kom first met in 2000 in New Delhi and married in 2005. Their partnership was widely seen as a strong one — while Mary built one of India’s most celebrated boxing careers, Onler managed the home front and supported her journey every step of the way. The couple raised four children, including twin sons and a later-adopted daughter.

After nearly 20 years together, the marriage ended in a mutual-consent divorce finalized on December 20, 2023, carried out under Kom customary tradition in the presence of family elders. However, the details only became widely known publicly much later, following a fallout between the former couple.

Speculation about Mary Kom’s personal life intensified after she was frequently spotted alongside Hitesh Choudhary at boxing events and media appearances, including the Global Boxing Series. Onler later alleged he had evidence suggesting a relationship between the two, claims Mary Kom has firmly denied, describing her connection with Choudhary as strictly professional.
