The chief of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige has made an official confirmation that he is not returning.
Is there a chance to return Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man Again on MCU?
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Robert Downey Jr.’s role as Iron Man was the main attraction as it was launched along with his participation in all of the films up until the Infinity Saga hitting the movie theatres.
In between this, the MCU has brought revolution into the Multiverse Saga, there was a lot of speculation regarding whether or not the studio had something in mind to heal the character, however, in an interview Kevin Feige concluded all of the speculation. He is the main head of the studio and confirmed that it was pure smoke.
In this context, Kevin Feige said, “We are going to keep that moment and not touch that moment again. We all worked very hard for many years to get to that, and we would never want to magically undo it in any way.”
There is not only Kevin Feige who has made the confirmation that RDJ’s role is over, The director of Avengers Joe Russo also confirmed that there is no chance of returning Iron Man. As a reason, the director said why they would do that to the audience while the character had already suffered death.
Russo says, “We’d already said tearful goodbyes on the last day of shooting. Everybody had moved on emotionally. We promised him it would be the last time we made him do it — ever.”
At the moment MCU is planning to put a lot of things together along with new characters like most of the main heroes and villains who have shared the screen with RDJ and left the MCU. Recently, we have seen Tom Hiddleston’s Loki finish Disney+’s series Loki to focus the spotlight on the upcoming two Avengers films named Secret Wars will premiere in 2027, and The Kang Dynasty which will premiere in 2026. We would say that the makers should think again for all of the fans to return Robert Downey Jr.’s character Iron Man again.
