Tottenham Hotspur are set to complete their third signing of the summer in Manor Solomon. The winger joined Fulham only last summer from Shakhtar Donetsk, and is expected to make the move across London after reaching a verbal agreement with Spurs over a five-year contract. Fulham had the option to make his move permanent, but did not exercise that clause.Â
The medical tests for the move have been scheduled for the coming week, and his arrival is set to be confirmed soon. The move, however, is scheduled to be checked by FIFA after reports that the player suspended his contract with the Ukrainian side.
Manor Solomon to join Tottenham Hotspur this summer subject to FIFA checksÂ
Shakhtar are planning to go to court over the transfer if Spurs sign him on a free move. They are claiming unjust enrichment, after FIFA allowed the players of the Ukrainian club to seal transfers elsewhere by suspending their contracts – but, denying Shakhtar the compensation in the process.
Manor Solomon was hit with an injury during the start of the 2022/23 season that prevented him from playing until January. But, the player was able to score in five straight games after his return, showcasing the quality that he can bring.Â
The Israel international has been capped 35 times for his national team, and has scored seven goals so far. He will follow Guglielmo Vicario and James Maddison as the new signings for the Lilywhites this summer.Â
