Manchester United remains unbeaten in Premier League away games this season as they won against Wolves at Molineux Stadium by 2-1 today.
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer didn’t want to take any risk before the UEFA Europa League final. So, he has given all the regular starters of the squad and gave some young players some taste of Premier League football.
Manchester United started the game upper-hand and broke the deadlock at the 13th minute as Anthony Elanga scored a thumping header from Daniel James cross. But Wolves pulled one back at the 39th minute as Nelson Semedo scored for the home side. But Manchester United took the lead before half-time as Juan Mata scored from the spot.
With today’s win, Manchester United became the 4th team in Premier League history to remain unbeaten in all Premier League away games this season. It is the first time in the club’s history.
After today’s win, Manchester United captain Harry Maguire said, “Great way to finish the Premier League campaign. Well done lads. Another step forward this year but we don’t settle for this, next year we must improve again. Looking forward to Wednesday.”
However, Manchester United has just one game left this season and arguably the most important one. The Red Devils are desperately searching for silverware this season, and they will surely go for that on Wednesday in the UEFA Europa League final.
