Manchester United is now the favourites to sign £30m rated Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic in the next transfer window.
The Red Devils are monitoring him for a long time. They were interested to sign him last January. But the deal has not gone through. So they want to go for him again next summer.
Manchester United is ready to splash some cash to sign the highly rated and highly talented young Serbian defender Nikola Milenkovic. Manchester United faced some problems defensively this season. They have conceded some goals for their own foolish mistakes last season. This has caused them so many times in the title race as well. To solve this defensive issues they want an world class defender to be partnered with Harry Maguire.
Milenkovic joined the Serie A side in 2017 from Partizan Belgrade for £4.59m. He has played 104 games for Fiorentina and scored 10 goals for the club. His contract with the club will expire in 2022. Fiorentina will consider an offer of more than £30m to let the defender join a new club. Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan are also interested in him.
However, Milenkovic himself wants a move to Premier League and Manchester United is one of the clubs on his priority lists as well. Milenkovic will be an excellent addition to the Manchester United squad at just around £30m. But United’s transfer policy has been strange of late so it will be interesting to see how this transfer saga goes.
