Manchester United have recorded the most number of wins across Europe’s big five leagues this season. The Premier League giants have won 31 matches across all competitions, which is four more than any other club.
Napoli, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City all have 27 wins this season. Moreover, United have already ended their trophy drought of six years by winning the 2023 Carabao Cup, ensuring that there is something positive to take away from the season.
Manchester United returning to their former glory with winning stats
It could be argued that United have played more games than any other team on the list. Having won games in the Carabao Cup all the way to the final, and also winning the Europa League playoffs has added to their numbers. But, Real Madrid also played the FIFA Club World Cup while Barcelona won the Supercopa de Espana, and have an advantage in the Copa del Rey.
But in spite of that, few would disagree that they haven’t been producing good performances this season. As things stand, they are third in the Premier League and are set to return to the Champions League after failing to qualify last season.
The recent 7-0 defeat to Liverpool potentially ended their hopes of a miraculous title run, and put a stop to their momentum for a while. But, they returned to winning ways immediately with a 4-1 win against Real Betis in the Europa League Round of 16.
As a result, it is the start of a comeback from Manchester United, with the team looking much better than it has in years. Provided enough time, there is hope that Erik Ten Hag will be able to lead them to a league title very soon.
