England international Raheem Sterling is having a very successful career after he swapped Liverpool with Manchester City. He has won the Premier League two consecutive times with City in the last two seasons.

Liverpool have finally unlocked their full potential under Jurgen Klopp. They won the Champions League last season and have a 25-points lead in the Premier League this season. They would have got the Premier League trophy in their hands by now if the Coronavirus hadn’t played the spoilsport.

Premier League has been suspended with the season been extended indefinitely. So, it’s just a matter of time till Liverpool end their 30-years long wait for the Premier League trophy.

Manchester City, on the other hand, are on the brink of two seasons Champions League ban. They have appealed but whether the ban will be uplifted is still in doubt. This Champions League ban can result in a lot of top players making their transfer wishes.

The entourage of Raheem Sterling have told L’Equipe that he is open to a return to Liverpool.

“Even though Raheem is attached to Manchester City, he has not forgotten about Liverpool, because that is where he was forged as a man and a player. Obviously, there were some difficulties at the moment at which he left, but today, he is doing his work and everything is possible.”

Liverpool would be closely following this situation because Sadio Mane is attracting interest from top European clubs. So if Mane goes out of Anfield, then their former player Sterling is one of the favourites to replace him. Sterling has become a world-class player who can add value to any top European club.
