The first team to be relegated from La Liga were Oviedo, after Girona earned a point in a 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano on 11 May 2026. The second and third teams to be relegated were Girona and Mallorca on 23 May 2026, after four and five years in the top division respectively.
