If you are a smartphone enthusiast or nurture various kinds of processors, you must know about AnTuTu. It’s basically a benchmark testing platform for smartphones. Besides, it also stores the analyzed data to cook various stat reports to know about the present smartphone market status. Recently, it published its report for the third quarter of this year.
Along with various other aspects like smartphone screen resolution, processor brand, RAM size, etc, there is also a stat report that shows the percentage of people using smartphones with different screen sizes.
As per the report, the majority of the smartphones distributed during the third quarter of 2020 have 6.4-inch screens. The percentage is 17.2%. Point to note, this stat is based on the configuration of the smartphones of the AnTuTu users.
In the second place, there are smartphones having 6.3-inch screens (14.7%), followed by 6.5-inch screen smartphones (13.6%).
Apart from all these, the chart also describes most of the market is captured by smartphones with a minimum of 6.1-inch screen sizes or above. Only 5% of smartphones have a 5.5-inch screen and 2.5% have a 5.8-inch screen.
Needless to say, it’s the trend of big screens. But Apple, going reverse of the trend, is trying to keep the screens less than 6-inches. The recently launched iPhone 12 Mini with a 5.4-inch display is the proof. Let’s see if Apple can charge the small screen smartphone market again or not.
