Major Crimes Is Coming to Netflix in September 2026: Everything The Closer Fans Need to Know

Cop show fans, mark your calendars — the “Netflix Bump” has struck again. All six seasons of TNT’s beloved procedural Major Crimes are officially landing on Netflix US on September 3, 2026, giving The Closer fans the perfect next binge.

This addition isn’t exactly out of the blue. Warner Bros. Television opened its licensing doors to Netflix earlier this year as acquisition talks heated up, and even though that deal fell through, the flow of classic TNT and TBS titles hasn’t slowed down. The Closer made its Netflix debut late last year and quickly proved its staying power, racking up over 221 million viewing hours and spending nine days in the US daily Top 10. A spin-off arrival was only a matter of time.

The Closer: Major Crimes on Netflix

Major Crimes picks up right where The Closer left off, following Captain Sharon Raydor (Mary McDonnell) as she takes charge of the LAPD’s Major Crimes Division. Where Brenda Leigh Johnson thrived on dramatic confessions, Raydor’s team focuses on airtight plea deals and navigating a more politically complicated justice system — a shift that gave the spin-off its own identity while keeping most of the original ensemble intact, including G.W. Bailey, Tony Denison, and Raymond Cruz.

Binge-marathons like this one are exciting, but long hours on the couch can quietly catch up with your body — posture, sleep, even hair health can take a hit during a serious streaming streak.
