The Mahindra XUV700 has been in high demand ever since its release. It is the Indian automaker’s flagship SUV. Mahindra has not made any changes to the MahindraXUV700 since its initial launch in August 2021. With popularity on the upswing, it doesn’t really need updating. However, there are plenty brand-new test mules on the roads.
A few of these test vehicles are XUV.e8 test mules, an electric XUV700 on an INGLO platform. However, there are a handful that we have observed that might very well be a 6-seater Mahindra XUV700 in the works. Sathyamurthy Ramasamy, an auto enthusiast, discovered one close to Chennai.
In Mahindra’s AdrenoX mobile app, there was a picture of a 6-seater XUV700. Up to this point, Mahindra has not formally introduced a 6-seat version of its renowned Mahindra XUV700.
Only a 5-seater with two rows and a 7-seater with three rows are available. Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus, the XUV700’s fiercest rivals, both offer the 6-seater option, which makes a lot of sense. Mahindra doesn’t appear to lag behind in providing this preferred seating arrangement for consumers who drive alone.
However, it might be introduced around the holiday season. At that time, Tata Motors will unveil its redesigned Harrier and Safari SUVs. The same XUV700 that is now for sale can be seen in the spy photos, fully camouflaged. Regarding outward aspects, it is identical to the present model. Everything else, including the wheels, bumpers, and taillights, remained the same. Only the seating arrangement inside appears to have altered.
It appears like Mahindra is employing an older test mule with an extended temporary number plate. Around the back wheels on the left side, the body covering has detached. The remaining features are consistent with the current model, so there won’t be many changes.
A 2.2L turbo diesel engine and a 2.0L turbo petrol engine each produce 153 and 182 horsepower and 380 and 420 Newton metres of torque, respectively. Even the top-tier diesel versions of the Mahindra XUV700 have an AWD configuration. The remaining variations are FWD. Only the highest-end trims might include the Mahindra XUV700 6-seater.
