Their next project promises yet another intriguing tale surrounding a glitzy but unseen world of the wives of Hindi film industry stars.
The Upcoming Wives of Bollywood
According to the reports, Wives of Bollywood will provide insight into those hidden and lesser-penetrated areas of these star wives’ lavish lives. As in the filmmaker’s past ventures, this one too is expected to be replete with gossip, scandals, and luxury.
Discussing the film, Madhur Bhandarkar mentioned, “There is much speculation about the lives of Bollywood star wives, and the goal is to bring these untold stories inspired by real events to the big screen.” The movie will be produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and P J Motion Pictures and is anticipated to start filming early next year.
Producer Pranav Jain said earlier he was super thrilled to be collaborating with Madhur Bhandarkar again after the success of India Lockdown. He noted, “Madhur has a reputation for creating authentic films, and this topic promises to be explosive, given the intrigue surrounding the lives of celebrity wives both at home and in social situations.”
It’s important to note that the theme here resonates with the Netflix series Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, only it is based on four interconnected women: Neelam Kothari, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavna Pandey and Seema Sajdeh.
