Luis Nani has completed a return to Europe, after spending three years with MLS franchise Orlando City. The former Manchester United winger has signed with Venezia in Serie A until the end of the 22/23 season.

He previously featured for Lazio in Italy, spending the 2017/18 season with them before the switch to the American league. The player was one of the stars for Orlando City FC, scoring 28 goals and providing 23 assists in 77 appearances before moving on.

The Serie A outfit is one place out from relegation, and is battling to survive the drop after coming up from Serie B.

They have had a remarkable performance in the transfer market this window, signing a number of key players. Alongside Luis Nani, former Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has also joined the club as a free agent, which will be a big boost to them.

Earlier in the window, Venezia completed a transfer for Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Cuisance. They have also signed Chelsea’s Ethan Ampadu on loan until the end of the season, which significantly increases the quality of their squad.
