Mystery, tension, and a slow-burn connection between two men on opposite sides of a case — Studio Oak’s newest BL (Boys’ Love) drama is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing releases of the season, and its first teaser is already giving fans plenty to obsess over.
On June 12, Studio Oak unveiled the main poster and teaser for The Prosecutor’s Proposal, an office investigative drama based on a popular web novel. The story centers on Lee Chae Ha, a rookie criminal investigator burdened by the stigma of being a killer’s son, and Joo Tae Sun, a sharp, perfectionist prosecutor hiding secrets of his own. What starts as mutual suspicion slowly evolves into something far more complicated as the two are forced to work together on a case.

The Characters Driving the Story
Park Si Woo takes on the role of Lee Chae Ha, a character carrying deep emotional scars beneath a tough exterior. As the story unfolds, his guarded wariness toward Joo Tae Sun gradually shifts into curiosity and attraction — a transformation Park Si Woo is expected to portray with subtlety rather than melodrama.
Kim Yoon Sik plays Joo Tae Sun, an eighth-year prosecutor known for his cold, calculated approach. While he initially approaches Chae Ha with ulterior motives tied to a past case, the teaser hints that even someone this controlled isn’t immune to unexpected feelings.
Why Fans Are Already Hooked
The “enemies-turned-allies-turned-something-more” dynamic is a tried-and-true BL formula, but pairing it with a genuine investigative mystery gives this drama extra depth. The new teaser leans into tension-filled glances and charged proximity, suggesting the chemistry between the leads will be central to the show’s appeal.
While waiting for the June 26 premiere, fans can catch up on Studio Oak’s current BL hit, Love Class 3, currently airing on Viki.
