Love And War: Alia Bhatt’s Fiery First Look Sets the Internet on Fire

The wait is finally over. Sanjay Leela Bhansali just unveiled Alia Bhatt’s much-anticipated first look from Love & War, and fans are already declaring it one of the most striking posters of the year. Coming a day after Ranbir Kapoor’s intense reveal, this new glimpse gives audiences their first real taste of Alia’s character in the highly awaited period drama.

In the poster, Alia appears in a dramatically transformed avatar — draped in a deep magenta-red ensemble with an elaborate headpiece, paired with a crop top and thigh-high slit skirt. The styling strongly hints at a dance sequence, though the makers have kept her character details and the scene’s context firmly under wraps for now. The production house captioned the reveal with a poetic line — “Aag bhi, dilon ki jaan bhi!” — confirming the film’s worldwide theatrical release date of January 21, 2027.

Fans flooded social media with praise almost instantly. Comments ranged from calling the visuals “breathtaking” and full of “goosebumps” to praising Alia for “serving pure swag.” The excitement makes sense given the film’s pedigree — Love & War marks the first time Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal have come together under a Bhansali directorial, reuniting Ranbir with the filmmaker nearly two decades after Saawariya, while Alia returns to his world following her acclaimed turn in Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Why This Matters?

This marks a rare reunion of two major real-life pairings on screen — Ranbir and Vicky previously starred together in Sanju, while Alia and Vicky shared the screen in Raazi — adding another layer of anticipation to an already stacked star cast.
