Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli Part Ways After Nearly Three Decades of Marriage

Some Hollywood marriages become the stuff of tabloid speculation for years before an official announcement ever comes. That’s exactly the case with Lori Loughlin, who has reportedly moved to formally end her marriage to fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli after nearly 29 years together.

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli: Overview

What’s Actually Happening

According to TMZ, Loughlin is now formally seeking to end the marriage, with Fox News Digital reporting that the 62-year-old actor has listed August 31, 2025, as the official date of separation. The filing cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split — standard legal language, though it confirms what’s been quietly assumed for a while given the couple’s reported living arrangements.

Notably, the filing reportedly asks that spousal support be reserved for future determination rather than settled immediately, leaving that particular financial question open for now. It also references the couple’s prenuptial agreement, signed in October 1997 just weeks before their wedding, which is expected to guide how separate property and debts are divided going forward.

A Nearly Three-Decade Relationship

Loughlin and Giannulli met in 1995 and married two years later, on November 27, 1997. Over the following decades, the couple built a public profile that extended well beyond Hollywood, encompassing Giannulli’s fashion career and their two daughters, Olivia Jade and Bella Rose, both of whom have carved out their own public presence in recent years. Loughlin had already confirmed the two were living separately as of last October, when her representative acknowledged the split in a statement, suggesting this formal filing is the next step in a separation that had already been underway for some time.

What’s Next for Lori Loughlin’s Career

Amid the personal news, Loughlin’s professional life continues to move forward. She’s set to return to Hallmark’s long-running drama series When Calls the Heart as Abigail Stanton for its 14th season, which began production in August 2026 and is expected to start streaming in 2027. Her return follows a surprise cameo appearance in the Season 13 finale, suggesting her role in the show’s next chapter will be more substantial than a brief reappearance.
