As he did for Brighton, Mac Allister will wear the number 10 shirt for Liverpool, which has been vacant since Sadio Mane left for Bayern. The midfielder has been officially presented as their first signing of the summer and the club will now turn their attention to other targets.

Only a year after signing from Fulham, Fabio Carvalho will leave Liverpool to sign for RB Leipzig on loan. The agreement has been reached between the two clubs for a strictly temporary deal, with no buy option – which was rejected by Jurgen Klopp. The aim for the youngster is to get more playing time to develop further, which will not be possible under Klopp in the coming season.

Several players with expiring contracts have been allowed to leave the club this summer, to facilitate the squad rebuild. The list of players leaving as free agents includes veteran James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Roberto Firmino and Naby Keita. Arthur will be returning to Juventus as he was on loan at Merseyside, but barely managed to get any playing time due to injuries.

Keita has already found a new club to play for, and has returned to the Bundesliga. The former RB Leipzig midfielder has now signed for Werder Bremen on a free transfer. He has agreed a deal until 2026 with them, and has been officially presented as a new signing for the summer.

Milner has moved on from Liverpool to sign for Brighton, while Oxlade-Chamberlain and Firmino are yet to decide where they will play next.
