What to Expect from Episode 3
The official logline teases that Joe confronts a breach within her own operation, driving the team into a risky play to root out infiltrators. With Joe still missing in the present timeline after her captors removed her tracker and vanished, and the six-months-earlier storyline suggesting someone deliberately exposed her during the Donetsk operation, episode 3 looks poised to turn simmering suspicion into an active, full-blown crisis.
Who’s Back This Season
Zoe Saldaña returns as Joe McNamara, the CIA station chief leading the covert Lioness unit that recruits and trains female soldiers for counterterrorism missions while juggling a fractured family life. She’s joined by Nicole Kidman as Kaitlyn Meade, Michael Kelly as Byron Westfield, and Morgan Freeman as Edwin Mullins. Notably, Kidman’s return was reportedly delayed by contract negotiations, while Saldaña had already signed on for a three-season commitment.
Release Schedule and Where to Watch
Lioness Season 3 has stuck to a consistent weekly Sunday release pattern since its August 2 premiere, dropping new episodes at 3 AM ET / 12 AM PT. The full eight-episode season is exclusive to Paramount+, available through Basic, Standard, and Premium subscription tiers, with the streamer also accessible as an add-on through Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Hulu in the US.
