Lionel Messi is set to reunite with his former teammate Neymar at Paris Saint Germain next summer. As per some reports, the Argentine has told Neymar that he wants to leave the Catalan club and join the Ligue 1 champions in the summer.

Last summer Lionel Messi revealed his wish to leave the club. But he was ‘forced’ to stay at the club at that time. After that, the Argentine told the press about the problems of FC Barcelona dressing rooms and board. FC Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu was the main target of Lionel Messi.

Josep Maria Bartomeu resigned from his position last month. But the situation has not changed yet for Lionel Messi. He is in the last 6 months of his contract with FC Barcelona and refused to sign a new deal with FC Barcelona.

At first, the Argentine wanted to join Manchester City to unite with Pep Guardiola. But after talking to Neymar regularly he changed his mind and wants to join Paris Saint-Germain.

Paris Saint Germain is considering offering a ‘golden retirement’ plan to Lionel Messi. It will allow Messi to play for the French club for few years before moving to MLS side Inter Miami to end his career. Earlier Messi revealed his wish to join the MLS club. So it is a very lucrative deal for the 6 times Ballon D’or winner.

The tenure of Lionel Messi at FC Barcelona is almost coming to an end. Lionel Messi joined FC Barcelona in 2001 at La Masia academy. Since then he is an integral part of FC Barcelona. He has played 751 games FC Barcelona and scored 646 goals in his career for the Spanish giant.
