All the Barcelona fans have been shell shocked by the news of Messi requesting to leave the club. He wants to terminate his contract and leave the Blaugranas forever.

The Argentine striker, who promised to never leave the club has taken an irreversible decision to leave Barcelona, the club where he has spent almost 20 years of his life. But not many clubs can afford Lionel Messi astronomical wages. There are very few European clubs who can afford Messi and one among them is Premier League side Manchester City.

Messi’s father has taken this even further, as MD points out, both TyC from Argentina and RAC1 from Barcelona did agree yesterday that Jorge Messi is already in contact with the City Group leaders.

Not only that, but both the father of Messi and Ferran Soriano could also be travelling to Barcelona next week to accelerate the negotiations. They even want to sit down to talk with Barca and resolve the issue of the ‘free transfer’ clause.

Now a recent report has come out that claims Messi has already agreed on terms with Manchester City – more likely figures surrounding his contract and any other added bonuses he would receive upon arrival.

#ManCity and Lionel Messi already had an agreement 'days ago'. The club knows what the player wants and they have 'everything ready'.

Now the only factor remaining is whether Barcelona would accept Messi’s request to terminate his contract then Manchester City is ready to sign him immediately. Or if Barcelona wants a deal, then City will have to make some calculations before shelling out excess of €200m for one of the best players of this generation.
